Worcester Raiders aim for top spot as they travel to Slimbridge under the lights.

It’s been a flawless start to 2026 for the Raiders, with nine consecutive wins. Tomorrow brings the chance to make it ten and overtake Droitwich Spa at the top of the table.

It promises to be another big test for the Raiders, with the hosts coming into the fixture unbeaten throughout February and well-rested after a 10-game break.

Manager Jordan Lewis on Slimbridge: “They have an advantage with them having Saturday off and us having quite a tough game”.

“The simple fact is we have got to use the rest that we have had and the training we’ve had properly over the last few weeks rather than thinking about the last few days. We will have to use our squad well and make sure everyone is up for it and at it to keep the energy in the group”.

On Saturday, we travelled down to Play-Off chasing Cirencester in a game that ended in dramatic fashion.

Cameron Monteith flicked the ball into the net in the 97th minute to win the game 2-1 despite us being reduced to nine men. This moved Raiders up to 2nd place.

Adam Taylor also got on the scoresheet in the first half after Bailey Fuller's dangerous cross was met by Taylor to get his 9th of the season.

All focus now turns to tomorrow, a huge game in the promotion race as 4th meets 2nd.

Jord “We have good momentum, 9 games 9 wins, finding a way on Saturday was really important, but we’ve all said the focus is on the next game”.

“We have to go into tomorrow from scratch, from zero and play with the confidence with the run we are on, but reset in terms of a new game new start. If we don't turn up, we will get beat”.

Despite Jake Donnelley receiving a second yellow card on Saturday and Jordan Murphy spending time in the sin bin, both will be available for tomorrow’s game under current card regulations. Donnelley will instead serve his suspension in this weekend's clash against Tuffley.

The teams are separated by one point, with Slimbridge having two games in hand on Raiders, making tomorrow's fixture a crucial one.

Raiders will be hunting for revenge after Slimbridge beat them 1-0 back in November at the DOADC stadium.
