Stalemate at the DOADC Stadium as Raiders took on Cirencester, with the game ending 0-0. It was a midfield battle in the first half, with few chances for either team.

Cirencester had the first big chance. Their striker connected to a low cross, hitting the side netting, while Raiders Dan Cottrill made an excellent tackle to prevent another shot on goal.

Raiders Issac Cooper rounded the keeper, but couldn’t finish.

The second half saw goalkeeper Charlie Emery making a number of saves, with a superb hand to prevent the ball from heading into the top left-hand corner of the net.

Another attack from Issac Cooper was just inches away. He narrowly missed the ball when he found himself alone in the box.

Energised by a number of attacking substitutions in the later stages, Raiders and Cirencester searched for the winning goal. Raiders' defence remained firm with very strong performances from both Jordan Stoddart and Dan Noke.

The second half was marred by some questionable yellow cards. Both Jake Donnelly and Dan Cottrill could consider themselves hard done by, with Dan’s second yellow card leaving Raiders with just 10 for the final few minutes.

Following the sending off Raiders dug deep to secure a point. The team and manager should be pleased with the battling performance and see this as a point gained against strong opposition.
