Raiders clinched their tenth win as the season as they ran riot against a battling Lydney Town side to win 4-1 at Sixways in a lively encounter throughout.
The home side took no time in opening the scoring as a ball across goal was converted by Jordan Murphy for his ninth goal in ten starts as the clock approached just the fifth minute.
Raiders almost paid for a small lapse in concentration, however, just two minutes after the opening as a free header from a Lydney player was saved well by Young in the home goal.
As the clock hit just the thirteenth minute the home side squandered a great chance to double their advantage as a ball across the away goal fizzled across goal and agonisingly past the outstretched legs of a Raiders boot.
On the half hour mark the Raiders doubled their advantage as great play down the right led to a great ball into the feet of Murphy who laid it off for the Skipper Joe Billingham to finish superbly into the top right corner.
Unfortunately, like the first goal Raiders once again lost their concentration, this time they paid for it, four minutes after the goal the ball was placed expertly passed a helpless Young to halve the arrears as Raiders would then edge into the half time break ahead.
As the second half started it was only the home side that showed any sign of adding to the score line with Monaghan seeing an effort from close range collected well-being one of many early chances as the clock hit the hour.
It would take until the 83 rd minute for any form of major chance of note for both sides as Substitute Ferron who entered the fray about ten minutes before saw a long-range effort collected well as the home side were looking ever more threatening to add a third.
Soon, just two minutes later in fact, it would be game, set and match as a ball was played into a dangerous area from the left-hand side to the feet of skipper Joe Billingham who finished superbly once more into the top corner.
Three minutes later the skipper should have had a hat trick as he hit a free kick from near on 40 yards which required an impressive stop from the Lydney ‘keeper to his right.
The game would be put beyond any form of doubt if there was any five minutes later as Jordan Murphy would get his second following an excellent ball from the right which Murphy would head past the ‘keeper and would be the last action of an impressive game.
Raiders will look to extend their unbeaten run and get one over local rivals Stourport Swifts on Wednesday at Sixways as they look to progress to the next round of the cup with pride also at stake.
