After Snow postponed our Wednesday game with Roman Glass St. George, Raiders was back at Sixways looking to make it three wins in three games against sixteenth placed Thornbury Town.
Raiders had the first real chance of the game when Shay Willock managed to beat off a Thornbury Town defender in the box and put a first time shot just wide of the bottom right corner.
It wouldn’t take long for Raiders to break the deadlock with Isaac Cooper whipping a ball into the box which the opposition defence failed to clear, and Bailey Fuller is there to head home at the back post on the fifteenth minute.
Raiders was then forced to make a substitution early on with James Timmins going down with an injury, he was replaced by Brogan Halpin.
The rest of the first half was quieter but Thornbury had the best chance on the forty minute mark where their player had an awkward first time volley from forty-five yards out, which almost bounced over Ryan Young.
HALF TIME: Worcester Raiders 1-0 Thornbury Town
It would only take five minutes into the second half for raiders to make it 2-0. After a good spell of possession Jordan Murphy would strike an effort which would deflect off a defender into the path of Brogan Halpin, with all the time in the world he would calmly finish into the bottom left corner.
Not longer after this Jordan Murphy would score the best goal of the game, just outside the box he would take a touch and curve one in the top left corner beating the keeper near post.
With all the momentum with them Raiders attacked again with Baily Fuller making a signature run down the wing having a shot saved and the ball fell straight into Shay Willock who could only scuff an effort with not a lot of time to think.
Thornbury would have a few chances but Ryan Young would comfortably deal with them all and Raider’s would keep a clean sheet and making three wins in three.
