Over the last two years, we have grown from two Junior teams to this season having eight teams from U8-U18s with our ongoing plan to have a team at every age group giving them a pathway to the first team.

We are really proud that three of these teams have come from our own development academy led by our Vice Chairman, Jamie Gillespie and Club Secretary, George Cornes. We also have two new teams starting up for next season giving us ten junior teams for the 2025-26 season.

To enable us to continue this growth it was really important for us to secure a long-term future for our juniors and we are pleased to announce that we have partnered up with AFC Worcester in their exciting development of Junior pitches at their home in St John’s- Worcester for the 2025-26 season.

We have also secured all-year access to the 3G at Claines Lane as part of the first teams home meaning our junior teams will be able to train on both surfaces all year with our under-18s also playing from Claines Lane on a Monday night under Ben Lacroix.

Following this announcement vice chairman Jamie Gillespie shared his thoughts.

“Our priority at the club has been to grow the junior levels through all age groups, the positive growth over the last couple of seasons has been great and we have a strong family feel at the club, it’s great to see so many of our junior players at our first team games adding to the community spirit the club has created.

None of this would be possible without the great volunteers, coaches and supportive parents and we thank them for their continued commitment to the club.

From next season we will create our own home of the juniors with the partnership with AFC Worcester in St John’s- Jack Handsaker has been very supportive of what we are trying to achieve and we look forward to a strong partnership together.”
