Worcester Raiders are looking to recruit a Media Intern for the 2021/22 season. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sports Journalism/Media student to develop and widen their experience in a hands on role.

The club are in the Hellenic Football League and play their home games at Sixways Stadium, Worcester Warriors.

ROLE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary focus of the role is to manage Raiders’ social media channels of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram on a matchday. In addition, the successful candidate will attend one training session a week and gather engaging social content which previews the upcoming match.

Responsibilities:

• Attend all Worcester Raiders matchdays – both Home and Away
• Tweet match updates for league and cup games both home and away. You will be provided with goal graphics as well as half-time and full-time graphics.
• Promote home matches on social media to generate ticket sales.
• Write match reports for the club website.
• Attend training sessions to gather engaging social media content.
• Interview the manager and players on camera post-match.

The Person:

• In depth knowledge of football.
• Enthusiastic and pro-active individual, who takes on board constructive criticism.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Currently undertaking or completed a media related degree/course.
• Reliable, committed and adaptable individual.
