Worcester Raiders are delighted to unveil their new badge in the build-up to this Saturday’s FA Vase 2nd Round Qualifying clash with Atherstone Town at Sixways (kick-off 3pm).
The badge, which has been specially designed by Warriors Creative and Brand Executive Nick Baker, combines elements of Raiders’ previous badge with a modern and more simplified design.
It is hoped that the re-branding will make the Raiders’ badge more easily recognisable and also give it a fresh look and feel.
“The word Raiders reflects toughness, grittiness and commitment till the end,” Baker said.
“After looking at the original logo, it appeared rather dated and was too similar to the Las Vegas Raiders’ logo. So, I decided to use a new typeface, the primary colours of red and yellow to make the logo more vibrant.
“I also took away the stars, outer emblem, established date and green colour way because a minimal approach is easier on the eye for the fans.”
The new badge will be rolled out across all platforms in the coming days and weeks as the club embarks on an exciting new era.
Raiders were transferred to the Hellenic League this summer, which includes clubs in the south and south-west Midlands, from the West Midlands (Regional) League by the Football Association.
