Tomorrow evening, the lads travel down to Bristol in what promises to be a feisty affair.
Manager Jordan Lewis said, “Preparations are well underway in terms of doing our homework. We are looking at the opposition strengths, weaknesses and looking at players”
“The lads are prepared fully for what we know about the opposition, and the coaching team is prepared; we’re ready to react to different scenarios and different situations”.
Raiders discovered their playoff opponents after finishing the league season with a solid 1-1 draw at Corsham.
Corsham took the lead from the spot on 15 minutes and led going into half-time despite it being a pretty even first half.
Right after the break, Nigel Hinkulow fired a strike into the top corner following a corner to bring us level.
Raiders had many chances in the second half but had to settle for a draw, rounding off the league season with a very strong performance.
We now look forward to a massive game against Roman Glass, a side against who Raiders have remained unbeaten all season, securing two 3-2 home victories in both the league and cup, as well as earning a hard-fought 0-0 draw on the road.
“We have to enjoy the occasion and go out and show people what we are truly capable of as a team.
“All we can ask for is that they give their all and they work hard for each other for themselves and the club”.
It is expected to be a very close, intense game with Raiders heading into it unbeaten in their last five away matches, while Roman Glass arrive on the back of five consecutive victories.
Raiders league record against Roman Glass in previous years has been outstanding, remaining unbeaten in their last seven meetings, with five wins and two draws.
