At 3 pm tomorrow, Raiders return to action in a crucial semifinal clash.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at the Raiders' home ground, the DOADC Stadium; however, it has now been reversed due to the Hellenic League's decision.
Manager Jordan Lewis on decision: “I'm disappointed the game's been moved because I know the groundsman Paul has done a lot of work on the pitch”.
“But I don't see an advantage either way as it's a 3G pitch and we are used to 3G as they are”.
The lads will now travel down to the KGD stadium for a second away game in a row.
Tuesday night Raiders suffered a 2-1 defeat away from home to Highworth – a night to forget for the team.
One positive to take from the game was the impact of sub-Lincoln Hunt, who got Raiders back into the game on 76 minutes. Hunt made a great run and found himself one-on-one with the keeper, tucking away his shot into the bottom right corner.
All the subs made a positive impact, as Raiders pressed hard for an equaliser in the final 20 minutes, but it wasnt to be our night.
A few additions to look forward to tomorrow as Sam Whitton and George Hadley return to the squad.
Jordan Lewis ahead of Pegasus: “ We should be confident in how we played over the season, but it can change quickly, as it has for us in the last week. We've got to be absolutely on it. We know they are going to be well up for it, and it should be a good game”.
Pegasus are a side Raiders know well, with them facing them 3 times this season already, winning all 3 times, one in the Floodlit Cup Quarter finals a few weeks back and two in the league earlier in the season.
A 4th win over the hosts tomorrow would take us one step closer to silverware and set up a heated final with either Slimbridge or Droitwich Spa.
