Raiders aim to secure spot in second cup Semi-Final.

Raiders return to action today to face Mangotsfield United in the UHL Cup quarter-finals after our two previous games were postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

So far in 2026, the lads have won 7 from 7 and will look to continue this strong form going into today's away game in Bristol.

Gaffer Jordan Lewis discusses what it'll take to turn strong home form into results on the road “We just need to take the momentum we have created by winning and the confidence that gives us in the next game”.

Although the previous two games were called off, last week was still great for Raiders.
Last Tuesday night, we progressed to the semifinals of the Floodlit Cup, beating Hereford Pegasus 5-4 on penalties.

In the first half, we found ourselves 1-0 down after unmarked Lewis Fletcher headed the visitors in front from a free kick.

After the restart, Raiders looked like the better side as straight away Jordan Murphy threatened the Pegasus goal, his shot bouncing just over the bar.

On 50 minutes, the Pegasus's defender failed to clear, allowing Adam Taylor in to cross the ball to George Hadley, who calmly slotted home on his full first team debut.

Both teams pushed for the win, but strong defensive performances saw the game end in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes, meaning it would go to penalties.

Both sides scored all of their first three penalties until Pegasus fourth player stepped up; Charlie dived to his left and made a strong save.

The next two penalties by the sides were both converted, and it was all down to Sam Whitton to take Raiders into the semifinals, and he did just that, sending the fans into pure joy.

The five goal scorers in the penalty shootout for Raiders were Jordan Murphy, Bailey Fuller, Manny Olaloko, Jake Donnolly and, of course, Sam Whitton.

George Hadley from the U18S picked up man of the match, a proud moment for him on his first team debut.

All attention now shifts to today, Raiders first away game since the 27th of December.

The sides meet for the first time since September where Raiders secured 3 points away from home with a 1-0 victory.

Great news for Raiders as Fred King, Jahdel Hamilton and Harry Lewis all return to the squad a big boost going into the game.

It will not be easy, though, as the hosts will be going all out for silverware with their league campaign slipping away.
