Worcester Raiders are delighted to announce the signing of defender Jordan Stoddart, who re-joins Raiders for the upcoming 2023/24 season following his departure from Worcester City.
Worcester-born Stoddart returns to Sixways Stadium after a season away from the club with stints at Evesham United, Bewdley Town and Worcester City.
In his previous spell at the club, ’Stodds’ had been a mainstay in the Raiders defence for a number of years as the club crept up the non-league football ladder. Former City captain Jordan is back for his 3rd spell at Worcester Raiders.
Jordan had this to say about his return: "I am really excited to be back! After a season away, it’s a pleasure for me to return to the club. After speaking to the gaffer, my decision was already made. With the new additions through the door since I’ve been away and the boys still there from when I was here last, it makes for some really exciting times ahead. I’m back and ready to give my all for the club and help push this club onto bigger and better things. I can’t wait to see some old and some new faces around the ground! UTR!"
Manager Karl Gormley expressed his delight with Jordan's return: "Once we knew Jordan was interested in coming back, we wanted to get things done as soon as possible. I’ve known Jordan since he was a young lad and his commitment to football cannot be faulted. He is one of the most dedicated, hard-working players I know. We know what he can bring on and off the pitch with his experience which is so vital. Jordan loves the club! He’s never made a secret of that. It took a 10 minute conversation and we both knew that it was the right thing to do."
Welcome back to Sixways Stadium, Stodds!
