Former Walsall man set for Sixways bow.

As Worcester Raiders' promotion push gathers pace, the Sixways club have further strengthened their attacking arsenal with the signing of former Walsall and Worcester City player Jordan Murphy.

Murphy, 25, who was on the bench for City during their giant killing 2-1 FA Cup victory at Coventry City in 2014, is set to make his debut for Raiders tomorrow night when Moreton Rangers travel to Sixways Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm).

Joining Dean Smith's Walsall in 2014 after impressing for local side Stourbridge, Murphy went on to make two appearances for the Saddlers in League One, whilst enjoying loan spells with Worcester City and Kidderminster Harriers.

Murphy made more than 50 appearances for City during three separate loan agreements and chipped in with his fair share of goals to underline his credentials as a talented winger.

After his release from Walsall, Murphy went on to play for Telford United and Solihull Moors, before going on loan to National League North outfit Leamington.

"We are delighted to bring a player of Jordan's quality into the group, and he is another great addition to our attack," said Mark Owen, Worcester Raiders Joint Manager.

"We know how busy the festive period can be with fixtures coming thick and fast, so we're really pleased to be able to welcome Jordan to Sixways."
