Worcester Raiders Football Club are proud to announce that the club will launch its first-ever women’s team ahead of the upcoming season.
This marks a significant milestone in the club’s development and reflects a long-term commitment to growing the game at all levels. The introduction of a women’s side will also provide a clear pathway for players within the club’s junior girls’ setup, giving them the opportunity to progress and represent Worcester Raiders at senior level.
Chairman Steve Harris said:
“This is something we have been working towards for a number of years. It’s important to us that our girls’ junior teams have something to aspire to within the club.
For various reasons, it hasn’t been possible until now, but we are delighted to finally make this step forward.
With the future of Worcester Raiders now secure at the Diary of the Debt Collector Stadium, we have a strong platform in place to continue building and developing the club for years to come.”
Further details regarding trials, coaching staff, and league participation will be announced in due course.
Worcester Raiders FC looks forward to an exciting new chapter as we continue to grow both on and off the pitch.
