Worcester Raiders will welcome Llantwit Major AFC to Sixways Stadium to kick off preparation for the new 22/23 campaign! This season will be Raiders' first at Step 5 following the withdrawal of Walton Casuals from the Southern League South Premier Division. Raiders will now play in the uhlSport Hellenic League Premier Division, having been the losing playoff runner up.

The boys were back for pre season training yesterday evening. First Team Manager Karl Gormley has already been active this season, bringing in 7 new faces to join some familiar retained faces at Sixways. The squad now sits currently at 16 players. As well as playing staff, there have been some new addition to Gormley's backroom staff. Tyrone Henderson and Danny Scheppel join as Assistant Managers, while Ex-Worcester City Striker Mark Whitehouse joins Raiders as First Team Coach, adding a wealth of valuable experience to the set up.

Turning our attention to our opponents on Saturday, Llantwit Major are the first of 2 Welsh sides that will travel to Sixways Stadium this season, with Penybont FC travelling on Saturday 23rd July. Llantwit Major come off the back of a truly impressive season in the Cymru South, finishing as league champions. However, appeals to Football Association of Wales for the licence needed to compete in the top flight were unsuccessful. Following this news, it was announced that manager Karl Lewis would step down from his duty after 6 years, going down in Llantwit folklore in the process. Stevie McCarthy-Campbell has taken charge since, and takes on a tough challenge following the previous season's successes as well as the mass exodus of players who have left to join up with their former boss. We look forward to welcoming players, fans, staff and officials of Llantwit Major on Saturday!

Kick off is at 1:30pm.

Prices for the coming 22/23 season at Sixways are as follows:
