Cribbs edge top of the table clash.

Cribbs started the game the better of the two with a flurry of corners in the opening ten minutes with one just dropping shy of Youngs post after five on the clock.

Raiders had the first major chance of the game as the clock hit a quarter of an hour as an excellent ball was delivered onto the head of Murphy whose header went agonisingly past the reach of Ferron and past the post.

Raiders grew into the game as the half went on, another great chance followed seventeen minutes later when a inch perfect ball was played over the top towards striker Murphy who’s header just passed the post of Brown.

Murphy yet again had an excellent chance to put the home side in front on the 35th minute as he raced down on goal one on one and saw his effort held well by Brown in the Cribbs net.

Both sides started the second half low key and it took until the hour mark for its first major chance as Cribbs Murray’s freekick from range was held well by Ryan Young.

Ten minutes later the away side had another chance to take the lead as Murray had his own one on one chance just to see Young be equal to his.
The turning point of the match came six minutes later as a crunch coming together between the captain and a Cribbs player saw the Raiders man be sent off.

Just a minute later the Raiders lost concentration as the ball ricocheted around the home sides box and Kellow smashed the ball past Young from two yards out to the jubilation of the away side and the home side’s disappointment.

Raiders somehow didn’t find an equaliser in the closing stages during stoppage time as a ball was played into a dangerous area from a corner after the ball was cleared originally off the line and a goalmouth scramble followed before it was once again cleared to Raiders frustration.

Raiders fell to only their second defeat in the league at Sixways against top of the table and will have to go again and put their disappointment behind.
