Charlie Tilly is the latest player to join Worcester Raiders in the build-up to tomorrow’s Hellenic League Division One fixture against Studley at Sixways (kick-off 3pm).

Tilly, an exciting prospect, joins from Droitwich Spa and adds squad depth to the midfield alongside some more experienced heads.

Intelligent on the ball, Tilly plays as a holding midfielder and reads the game superbly given his tender years.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of playing for Worcester Raiders, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve,” said Tilly, who follows ex-West Brom defender Aksum White and shot-stopper Sheridan Martinez in committing his future to the Sixways club.

“I’ve previously worked under Mark before, and his appointment at Sixways was a key factor in my decision to make the step up to the Hellenic League.

“There is a real sense of excitement at Sixways, and I want to be part of the positive direction in which the club is going.”

Worcester Raiders Joint Manager Mark Owen added: “I’m pleased that Charlie has signed for us – he’s a young local talent who has so much potential, and I’m looking forward to seeing how he develops in the coming weeks and months.
