Worcester Raiders have signed goalkeeper Ryan Young from Studley ahead of tomorrow's Hellenic League Division One clash at Shortwood United (kick-off 3pm).

The talented shot-stopper, 26, spent four seasons with Studley following a stint with Redditch Borough.

Delighted to have got his man on the eve of another crucial fixture for his side, Joint Manager Mark Owen said: "I've been aware of Ryan's ability, having watched him several times including when he came up against us for Studley a few weeks ago.

"After speaking with him and understanding that a couple of clubs from step five were interested in his services, we were delighted when he agreed to join us.

"I would like to thank Studley's management team for allowing Ryan to be available for us this weekend. This signing finishes off a very busy few days of new additions and we are very happy with the quality we have brought into the club."

The Sixways outfit got back to winning ways on Tuesday with a 4-2 at home to Stratford to cement their position in the play-offs.
