Worcester Raiders away friendly was abandoned with less than half an hour played due to a serious injury to ex-Mitres defender Logan Stoddart.
Raiders were 2-0 down approaching the 30 minute mark when Stoddart fell to the floor in considerable pain after a 50/50 challenge near the halfway line.
An ambulance was called immediately and referee Adam McAnoy rightly called time on proceedings.
After lengthy treatment on the pitch, Stoddart was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with what has since been confirmed as a double fracture of his lower leg with surgery planned for today.
We all wish Logan a speedy recovery.
