From Scandinavia to Worcester.

From Scandinavia to Sixways Stadium, winger Ollie Thompson has signed on the dotted line for Worcester Raiders on the eve of tomorrow’s Hellenic League Division One clash with Studley at Sixways (kick-off 3pm).

Thompson, who can play on either wing, has recently enjoyed a stint playing in the Icelandic second tier and joins Worcester with fantastic potential.

The former Bromyard Town attacker is relishing the prospect of pulling on the Worcester shirt, adding: “I’ve recently had the experience of playing abroad and I’m now looking forward to showing what I can do at Sixways.

“I’m grateful to Mark [Owen] for giving me this opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.”

Worcester Raiders Joint Manager Mark Owen said: “I identified Ollie as a player who could add some quality to our attacking options, and I’m pleased that he has made the decision to join us.

“He can play on the right or the left and he is a skilful player, who can create opportunities for the front men.”
